OUR STORY

Since its creative beginnings in 2009, the Fair Fashion label ROTHOLZ has evolved into a significant brand for sustainable fashion over the years. Originally launched as a creative outlet for founder and managing director Moritz Baur, ROTHOLZ initially produced unisex basics made from organic cotton, featuring hand-printed graphics that reflected a passion for modern design, art, and architecture.

Today, the label embodies an artistic aesthetic with a strong identity, emphasizing sustainable and fair manufacturing processes. Close collaboration with workshops and master craftspeople throughout Europe is just as important as supporting independent small and medium-sized enterprises.

The distinctive look of ROTHOLZ is creative and sporty-elegant, with influences from urban art, culture, and contemporary design still being clearly recognizable today.

Bei ROTHOLZ setzen wir von Anfang an alles daran, die Modebranche nachhaltiger zu gestalten und positive Veränderungen voranzutreiben, ohne Kompromisse einzugehen. Unsere Kollektionen werden ausschließlich in Europa unter höchsten Standards für Nachhaltigkeit und Qualität gefertigt. Wir legen großen Wert auf enge Partnerschaften mit unseren Manufakturen, die sich zu strengen internationalen Standards für Nachhaltigkeit bekennen. Verarbeitet werden ausschließlich zertifizierte Materialien wie Biobaumwolle, Leinen, Tencel, Hanf und anderen Recycelten Materialien. 

Over the years, we have established long-lasting relationships with small, family-run production companies in Europe that specialize in crafting high-quality limited series. Manufacturing in Europe allows us to conduct regular visits to ensure that not only do our products meet our high quality standards, but also that the people behind each garment work in a safe, fair, and healthy environment.

Visit us at the ROTHOLZ store in Potsdam-West, just a short distance from the historic city center of Potsdam and Sanssouci Park. We're open from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Direkt neben unserem Store in Potsdam befindet sich das ROTHOLZ Studio. In einer luftigen und entspannten Atmosphäre arbeitet unser Team mit Blick auf die wunderschöne Allee und charakterstarke Altbauten, die den Kiez prägen. In diesem kreativen Raum entstehen die Konzepte und neuen Designs unserer nachhaltigen Kollektionen.
