Time for Change

ROTHOLZ aims to sustainably transform the fashion industry. Ethically and environmentally responsible fashion plays a crucial role in ensuring a healthy future for our planet and society. In one of the most polluting industries in the world, it is essential to promote positive changes, as the traditional textile sector significantly contributes to environmental issues such as deforestation, excessive CO2 emissions, and water pollution.

Our collections are produced exclusively in Europe and adhere to high standards of quality and sustainability. We place great importance on closely collaborating with manufacturers and ateliers that commit to rigorous international sustainability criteria. Through regular visits, we ensure that not only do our products meet ROTHOLZ's high-quality standards, but also that the people behind each garment work in a safe, fair, and healthy environment.

To create our products, we use only certified materials such as organic cotton, linen, Tencel, hemp, and other recycled fabrics.

Fast fashion is over. Our future is organic and fair.

Faire Arbeitsbedingungen Icon

We are committed to ethical and responsible production practices without compromise. Our manufacturing facilities in Europe are small family businesses with which we have maintained a partnership for many years. All employees benefit from safe and healthy working conditions, possess legally binding employment contracts, and receive above-average wages. We place a strong emphasis on fostering a friendly work relationship, and regular visits help us ensure fair working conditions.

The majority of our collection consists of organic cotton, making it completely vegan—no animal components are used. We also offer vegan alternatives in our knitwear. Additionally, we use high-quality buttons made from stone nut and consciously avoid buttons made from horn or shells.

Wool is a multifunctional natural fiber characterized by its excellent properties: it is particularly warm, regulates temperature, is breathable, and water-repellent. Wool also has the ability to self-clean, which means it doesn't need to be washed as often. For our products, we use only mulesing-free merino wool, high-quality virgin wool, and recycled wool blends.

We are proud to have our production based in Europe. This allows for shorter delivery routes, improves the rights of employees in our workshops, and ensures constant monitoring. Everything, from fabrics to haberdashery and the production sites, is located in Europe.

We exclusively use materials for our products that are free from petrochemicals to avoid the use of fossil fuels and prevent microplastics. By keeping transport distances within Europe short, we manage to minimize emissions and reduce the carbon footprint of our products. Our shipments within Germany and the EU are handled through DHL GoGreen.

Cotton is a versatile, durable, and comfortable fiber for clothing. Our certified organic cotton is non-GMO, requires less water, and is free from chemical pesticides. This benefits both you and the environment.
